A printed record of quail conservation
The Center published the proceedings of a quail conservation workshop held during the Neotropical Ornithological Congress in Monterrey, Mexico. The volume gathers field experience and conservation priorities for a group of birds that is often overlooked.
The workshop
The workshop was held in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1999. It brought together researchers working on quail and related game birds across the Americas. The meeting was a joint workshop on the conservation of Cracids and Quail.
The proceedings were edited by Dan Brooks, John Carroll, Jack Eitniear, and Fernando Gonzalez Garcia. Their work turned the sessions into a reference that could be used by people who were not in the room.
What the volume contains
The volume collects the workshop proceedings in printed form. It is a record of what was presented at the meeting and a starting point for later work.
Copies were offered for sale by the Center in the past. The record notes that payment was accepted in United States funds and that credit cards were not accepted. Those terms may have changed.
